CCTM CESG Claims Tested Mark
Information for Vendors

The CCTM Scheme is a quick and cost effective way of testing the security functionality of IA Products or IA Services. The indicative cost to the Vendor, including registration, producing the ICD and the testing process, should be between £10,000 – £20,000 per application. The claims testing process usually takes 20 working days to complete, depending on the complexity of claims. The full process from registration to award can take 10–12 weeks.

If you are interested in applying to the Scheme, please see the Scheme Documentation or contact the CCTM Secretariat.

How it works

  • Vendors register to have their product or service tested against their marketing claims. How to avoid delays in getting your CCTM. [PDF 25KB, 1 page]
  • The Scheme reviews the claims made by the vendor about their product or service and accepts the application for claims testing.
  • CCTM accredited Test Laboratories test the functionality of the product or service against the claims that are made in its marketing.
  • If the claims testing is successful, the CCTM is awarded for a period of two years for a product and one year for a service.

Achieving the CCTM will help your product to stand out from your competitors in the public sector market. Your product will be listed in the CCTM Awards catalogue that is published on the CCTM website and distributed at major IA events for civil public sector customers.

The CCTM will help public sector organisations to achieve good information assurance and demonstrate compliance with internationally recognised security standards. Increasingly suppliers will be requested to provide IA products or services that have achieved the CCTM by their public sector customers.
